Mistress of Bones is a cocktail based on the 2020 horror short Mistress of Bones, directed by Gigi Saul Guerrero, a Mexican filmmaker and actress. Mistress of Bones is a film about an ancient Aztec goddess who possesses a human host to fight off the evil forces of the underworld who want to destroy the world. This cocktail captures the fiery spirit of that heroine!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz Silver Tequila
  • 1 oz Lime Juice
  • 2 oz Orange Juice
  • 3/4 oz Jalapeno Simple Syrup
  • 1/2 oz Cointreau
  • Activated Charcoal (for color)

Directions

Step 1

In a shaker with ice, add tequila, lime juice, orange juice, jalapeno simple syrup, Cointreau, and a dash of activated charcoal. Shake!

Step 2

Rim a glass with Tajin and add ice. Strain drink into glass.

  • 1/2 oz Peach Schnapps
  • Orange Juice
  • Cranberry Juice

In a hurricane glass with ice add rum and peach schnapps.

  • 1 part Midori or Melon Liqueur
  • 1/2 part Jägermeister
  • 1 part Orange Juice

Directions (Bong Water Shot)

Step 1

In a shot glass, add first layer of Midori. With a bar spoon layer orange juice and then Jägermeister to the top. Cheers!

  • 3 Types of Rum
    • 1 oz Dark Rum
    • 1 oz White Rum
    • 1 oz Spiced Rum
  • 3/4 oz Velvet Falernum Liqueur
  • 1 1/2 oz Pineapple Juice
  • 1/2 oz Orange Juice
  • 3/4 oz Lime Juice
  • 3/4 oz Lemon Juice
  • 1 oz Cinnamon Syrup
  • 1/4 oz Grenadine
  • Angostura Bitters

Directions

Step 1

In a cocktail mixer, combine 3 types of Rum, velvet liqueur, pineapple juice, orange juice, lime juice, lemon juice, cinnamon syrup, grenadine, and bitters. Seriously just take forever to shake!

Step 2

Pour over ice in a glass and garnish. Enjoy!
